LETTER TO MY PASTOR

BY

E.I EMEKA

It’s the sixth day
All artistry for the euphoric saints
Angels’ mates assemble to mate tunes
All Check-check, testing-testing one-two
All nooks and crannies thumbs up

Psm 133
Colours of rainbow floods in
Disco in gratitude, its seventh day!
Copious smile scents as we shake hands
Captivating performance well-rehearsed
All hearts aglow and freshers amazed

Grace ascends the field
Graced with shinning smiles of explosive
Graced, fitted, suited and perfected
Grace thunders, we eureka!
Graces shared, handshakes for free

Where at our tones?
What rainbow dispersion am i?
Why does my soul go to church
When my body stays home?
Who concur? I miss my seventh day

Suddenly I befriend my sins' author
Suddenly service buffering
Suddenly whatsApp demons clip-clops
Suddenly messenger cronies’ klick
Suddenly Instagram 'Mami-water' pops red
Suddenly Mammon spirit’s oink lures me

To my Pastor
I am Stay-Qua-Lock
Let not data-possession be my new thorn
